Biography

Dr. Zahra Souri holds a Bachelor's degree in General Biology and a Master's degree in Biology with a focus on Plant Physiology from Razi University. She completed her Ph.D. in Plant Physiology at Razi University and also conducted a sabbatical (as a guest researcher) at Wageningen University in the Netherlands.

She began her official collaboration with Razi University in September 2020. She is currently an Assistant Professor in the Biology Department at the Faculty of Basic Sciences. During this time, she has taught various courses in different fields of biology at the undergraduate level, including Plant Physiology (Plant Sciences), Principles of Plant Physiology (Animal Sciences and Cellular & Molecular Biology), Plants and Environmental Stresses (Plant Sciences), and Plant Cell and Tissue Culture (Plant Sciences). Courses she typically teaches at the graduate level include Physiology of Metallophytes, Advanced Plant Growth and Development, and Research Methods and Experimental Design.

In the field of research, her main areas of interest include plant physiology, plant biochemistry, phytoremediation, and nanobiotechnology. Her articles and book chapters in these fields have been published in reputable domestic and international journals.
