Biography

Sirous Ghobadi was born in Kermanshah on July 6, 1961, and received his diploma in Empirical Science in 1979 from Imam Khomeini High School in the same city. He received a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Razi University in 1987, an MSc in Biochemistry from the University of Tehran in 1991, and a PhD in Biochemistry from the same university in 2000. He began his official collaboration with Razi University in 1991 as a Lecturer and is now an Associate Professor of Biochemistry in the Department of Biology at the Faculty of Science.
He has taught several courses to undergraduate students so far, including Structural Biochemistry, Metabolic Biochemistry, Biophysics, Radiobiology, and Specialized Language. The courses he has also been teaching to graduate students include Biochemical and Biophysical Methods, Enzymology, Biochemistry of Proteins and Nucleic Acids, Physical Biochemistry, and Enzymatic Reaction Mechanisms. His research papers (single-authored or co-authored by the graduate students under his supervision) have been published in prestigious national and international peer-reviewed scientific journals. He is married and has two children, both of whom have higher education.
