Biography

Dr. Somayeh Esmaeili-Rineh began his academic path with a diploma in Experimental Sciences and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Animal science from Kharazmi  University. She continued with a Master’s degree in Animal Biosystematics at Ferdowsi University of Mashad and started her doctoral studies in the same field at the University of Tehran in 2008. She received her PhD in 2013 and has served since then as a faculty member in the Department of Biology at Razi University. Dr. Esmaeili-Rineh has taught a wide range of courses at both undergraduate and graduate levels, including: Invertebrate Zoology, Vertebrate Zoology, Biology of Insects, Evolution, Methods and Tools in Animal Science, Comparative Anatomy of Vertebrates, Animal biosystematics, Biology of arthropods, Biodiversity and conservation. This research centers on the fauna of the Iranian Plateau, emphasizing arthropods, especially Niphargus and Gammarus species, and employs morphological, molecular, and phylogenetic methodologies. In addition, she is involved in research pertaining to edible insects rearing. The outcome of her scholarly activities consists of numerous papers and abstracts published in national and international journals and conferences. A complete list of her publications and other professional activities is available on her official academic profile and social media channels.
